The Westchester Table Tennis Center is a premier table tennis facility in the USA, which hosts 4-star table tennis championships every month. Strong monthly tournaments attract table tennis players from the US and foreign countries. Not an exception has been and November 2017 Open. One hundred and thirty-seven players from the USA and several foreign countries, such as New Zealand, United Kingdom, Indonesia, Nigeria, and China, participated in the Championships with the total prize money $5400 and $1500 of first prize.
In the Singles, Open Final match there met Jian Li and Wei Wang of China with the US ratings 2671 and 2754, respectively. Both players are utilizing so-called “Modern Defender“ style, both players, already, achieved highest results in prestigious competitions. So, Jian Li won 2016 Butterfly Arnold Table Tennis Challenge Open Singles Championship in Ohio. And Wei Wang in the same year claimed the First Place and the Prize for the US Open Singles Championship in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Nevertheless, in the Final Wei Wang defeated Jian Li with the match score 3-1 (11:5, 11:5, 10:12, 11:9).
