Spain celebrates the Dahy of the Armed Forces before the King
Dedicated to the international missions

Sevilla, capital of the Spanish region of Andalusia, welcomed on Saturday the celebration of the Day of the Armed Forces 2019, a day of tribute to the Spanish armies that, this year, was dedicated to the units that, for thirty years, participated in international missions, many of them in collaboration with the United States Army.
The day was presided over by the King and Queedn of Spain, Felipe VI and Letizia,and more than 2,500 soldiers adn 200 jets from the Army, the Navy and the Air force took part in the parade. Upon arrival at the Christopher Columbus street in Sevilla, the Kings were received by the chief of the General Staff of Defense, General Manuel Alejandre, and the acting Minister of Defense, Margarita Robles. Subsequently, the King greeted the president of the regional government of Andalusia, Juan Manuel Moreno Bonilla; the acting mayor of the city and other civil and military authorities.
The day was dedicated to the troops that, during the last 30 years, have participated in international missions in Africa, in Lebanon, in Iran and Afghanistan. Troops belonging to the Legion, the paratroopers, the marine infantry and units of the Army paraded before thousands of Sevillians who, with their presence, wanted to show their admiration and recognition to the units that provide service outside of Spain.
Sevilla overturned with the troops. Thousands of Sevillians crowded along the parade route and applauded the Kings of Spain and the various units that paraded before them, especially the Civil Guard and the Legion. The parade began with an aerial demonstration in which planes and helicopters deployed throughout the Spanish territory took part. Later, the terrestrial troops paraded before the Sevillians and before the King of Spain, Felipe VI. There was applause to the Civil Guard and the Legion. The different units showed their weapons and, above all, the vehicles they use in their international missions: tanks, trucks, cannons and howitzers.
