Christiane Feral Schuhl, President of the National Council of the Paris Bar, received her peers, the presidents of the seven other countries' Bar, form G7, (CNB, Boulevard Haussmann, Paris), on July 11-12th, 2019, to deliver the proposals from the meetings held at Elysee, received by the President of the Republic, Emmanuel Macron. These twenty proposals as well as a conference of 20 proposals will be brought to the G7 under the Presidency of France and will take place from next 24-26 August in Biarritz. The main topics that were discussed are: The fight against inequality, environmental protection and digital that are at the heart of the G7 lawyers, a new event. The representative institutions of the 7 countries (France, Germany, USA, UK, Canada, Japan, Italy) have signed a joint declaration on 20 proposals to be presented to heads of state on 24, 25 and 26 August in Biarritz. Reached for months by the National Council of Bars and its president Christiane Feral-Schuhl, this recognition will allow the 1.8 million lawyers of the G7 countries, to make their voices heard on the subjects which are common to them: the promotion of the rule of law, fundamental freedoms, access to law.

THE REPRESENTATIVE OF G7 DELEGATIONS OF G7 PRESIDENTS OF BARS AND LAW SOCIETIES------------------
The seven Representatives of G7 delegations of lawyers (Presidents of Bars, and Law Societies ) form the seven G7 countries have been welcomed at Elysee Palace by The French President, before having a meeting on 12th of July at National Council of Bars chaired by its President Christiane FERAL-SCHUHL (FRANCE). Here are the seven honored members, James MC GUILL - Vice-President of the Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe, Simon DAVIS - President of the Law Society of England and Wales (UK), Ray ADLINGTON - President of the Canadian Bar Association, (CANADA) Edith KINDERMANN - President of the Deutscher Anwaltverein, (GERMANY), Salvatore SICA - Vice President of the Consiglio Nazionale Forense (ITALY), Tatsu KATAYAMA - Vice-chairperson of the Board of Committees on International Affairs of the Japan Federation of Bars Associations (JAPAN) Bob CARLSON - President of the American Bar Association, (USA)
« It is the law that takes its place in the G7 debates and the recognition of the commitment of our profession in society. » Christiane Feral Schuhl, declares. Christiane Feral-Schuhl, French President of National Council of Bars, chaired that pre G7 Meeting in Paris on July 11 and 12, the representative institutions of the legal profession of the G7 countries submitted 20 proposals to their governments to protect the rule of law. In the framework of this G7 of Lawyers, the delegations of lawyers of the seven countries, representing 1.8 million lawyers, signed the joint declaration on 20 proposals that will be made to the heads of state on 24, 25 and August 26 in Biarritz.

Throughout the two meetings, held in Paris, on 11 and 12 July, on the sidelines of preparations for the G7, the seven delegations of lawyers from member countries adopted, for the first time, a joint resolution. This should be presented to the heads of state at the G7 summit in Biarritz at the end of August.In terms of figures and numbers, in the US, for instance, there are 1,8 M members of of the American Bar Association members, versus in Germany, 60 000 are members of Deutscher Anwaltverein, and 70 000 in the French National Council Bar. In the UK, there are now 140,000 practicing solicitors in England and Wales according to the Statistics released by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA). As far as Japan is concerned, Board of Committees on International Affairs of the Japan Federation of Bars Associations, there are approximately 10 00 lawyers members.

THE G7 BARS REQUEST THEIR RESPECTIVE GOVERNMENTS TO CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING SEVEN PROPOSALS & RECOMMENDATIONS IN DIGITALISATION------------------------------------------------------------------------
The resolution of the Bar Associations and Law Societies in G7 countries concerning opportunities offered by digitization and artificial intelligence. « We the representative of the bar associations in the G7 countries request our respective governments yo consider the following seen proposals and recommendations:
1- Guarantee that access to justice
2- Establish meaningful dialogue with commercial entities, involved in data processing
3- Ensure that cuir decisions are not based entirely on entirely on artificial intelligence or algorithms
4- Work in partnership with legal professional bodies, universities and other stakeholders in the justice system
5- Increase investment in that ability of public bodies to understand the appropriateness of algorithmic systems
6-Combat hate speech and violent content on the internet by means of a harmonized framework
7-Promote better representation of women and minorities in science technology and engineering as the lack of diversity increases (Design, Development etc)
