This is the week of the U.S.- Africa Leaders Summit! President Biden is hosting leaders from across the African continent in Washington, D.C. December 13 through December 15. The Summit demonstrates the United States’ enduring commitment to Africa, underscores the importance of U.S.-Africa relations, and promotes shared cooperation on global priorities.Â
The Summit aims to deepen and expand the long-term U.S.-Africa partnership to advance shared priorities, amplify African voices to collaboratively meet the era’s defining challenges, and leverage the best of America - including our government, private sector, and civil society – to uplift and empower African institutions, citizens, and nations. I look forward to working with African governments, civil society, diaspora communities across the United States, and the private sector to continue strengthening our shared vision for the future of U.S.-Africa relations, Joseph R. Biden, President of the United States , Said. The 1st day is dedicated to « Climate and Environment during a Diaspora Forum, followed by a session over Peace, Security and Governance, Diaspora, not to mention Education.

The Summit will demonstrate the United States’ enduring commitment to Africa, and will underscore the importance of U.S.-Africa relations and increased cooperation on shared global priorities.
